In Untitled (2026), Studio 198 presents a multi-panel composition that explores repetition, accumulation, and the power of the collective image. Comprised of six individual canvases, the work operates both as a unified whole and as a sequence of interrelated parts.
Drawing influence from Yayoi Kusama, the piece embraces repetition as both process and visual language. Motifs extend across panels, creating continuity while allowing subtle variations to emerge within each section. The result is a rhythmic, immersive field where pattern becomes structure and structure becomes experience.
Installed together, the six works create a broader spatial dialogue—expanding beyond the limits of a single canvas. The segmentation introduces pauses and intervals, encouraging the viewer to engage with both the individual components and the composition as a whole.
